50 Words

Darkness consumed Matt. He can no longer protect the ones he loved. Images of his family and friends flashed in his head. They seemed to be urging Matt to get up and continue fighting. He can’t die yet! Matt opened his eyes and bright white light burst out of him

The roaring fire was reduced to mere ember that glowed weakly for a while before finally succumbing to the cold breath of winter. Five figures that still had life in them twelve hours ago moved no more.  Sensing the threat was no longer alive, the white wolf emerged from hiding.

The eagle reached out for the bright blue sky. It kept a wary eye on the Earth below for preys to be fed to its newborn chicks. No sooner, it felt its body being ripped apart. Unable to move any part of its body, it fell out of the sky.

“We can’t stop now!” hollered Jeanette. She felt that the group could not yield to circumstances now. Too many companions had died trying, too much at risk. Though she knew they were in the hands of Death, the only way that they have is forward. And they shall go forward.

  1. There’s only 4 stories – you’re supposed to have 5. Try injecting more variety into the subject matter of your stories – it’s always good to try and write stuff we don’t normally write.
